If a heart becomes attached to anything other than Allah, Allah makes him dependent on what he is attached to adn he will be betrayed by it. Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah.
Shaykh Abdur-Rahman as-Sa'di: "Laziness against the Salah is a sign that the heart does not long after Allah." [Tayseerul Kareem p.211]
The heart of an old person is young for two things; long life and love of wealth [Bukhaari & Muslim]
